GM in World Expo: EN-V concept presents the car in 2030

Motors (GM) together with its Chinese partner, Shanghai Automotive Industry
Corporation (SAIC), presented the face of the automobile 20 years from now at
the ongoing World Expo in Shanghai, China.
With the
theme “Drive to 2030,” GM and SAIC are presenting their vision for urban
transportation in the future wherein driving will be free from emission,
accident, petroleum and congestion. It is a future in which driving will also
be more enjoyable and more fashionable than ever before.
JAKARTA: Indonesia has hit the fast lane in
terms of auto sales and has overtaken Southeast Asian pace-setter Thailand for
the first time, according to a Nikkei survey from the first six months of the
year. Officials and auto executives attending the 18th Indonesia International
Motor Show in Jakarta told Agence France-Presse the outlook for sales in the
archipelago of 240 million people had never been brighter.

MONTREAL – Ford Motor Co. said Thursday it would eliminate around 400 jobs at
its Windsor motor plant by cutting one shift of production.
Ford Canada spokeswoman Lauren More called the move a "realignment of
production" by the US automaker, and said that "the net loss of jobs
is about 400."
